PGA Master Professional
The revised PGA Master Professional Program (MPP 2.0) showcases a PGA Certified Professional's continued expertise and experience in his or her specific career path through a proven track record of success and industry involvement. This program is designed to quantify and promote more value to employers and elevate the image of the PGA Certified Professional through a progressive approach to lifelong learning guided by enhanced mentoring and coaching.
The program offers four career paths for demonstrating one's career Body of Work:
General Management
Golf Operations
Teaching & Coaching
Player Development
Prerequisites:
Eligibility requirements of eight (8) years as a PGA member and PGA Certification in the area of mastery
Ten literature review have to be submitted and accepted before beginning the three phase dissertation. Each phase must be approved by the PGA Education department, before moving onto the next phase.
Once all three phases are completed, preparing a one hour presentation with a forty-five Q&A defense is next.
Upon completion of the project and project defense, the final test is performing and passing a thirty minute golf lesson in front of evaluators.
By becoming a Master PGA Professional places me in the Top 1% of PGA Professionals.
